Welcome to my website.  These pages are my road trip travel journal -- a day-by-day account of my activities with photographs and links to pertinent sites in case you want to learn more.

It is difficult to take my computer on domestic flights or international trips, but I did take it on a road trip in 2006 that I call  " My Great Southern Journey ."

In May of 2009, I got in my new car and went to New England.  I stopped to see my sister in Erie, Pennsylvania.  I went on to Salem, Massachusetts,  then to Bar Harbor, Maine.  On my way back, I spent a couple of days in Southern Vermont.  Take a look at " Spring in New England."

In the spring of 2011, I went to the Smoky Mountains for a week.  I didn't do much other than relax, but there are a few photos of a daytrip that I took to Cataloochee, North Carolina.  It's a ghost town now, but it was once a thriving community.  Click on "The Ghosts of Cataloochee" to go back in time.

Well, it's late Summer 2011 and we are ready to go to Washington, DC.  It won't be a long trip, but I'm sure it will be a good one.  Join us on our visit to our nation's Capitol by reading The Washington Visitor.
